Hey! Actually, it was pasty-faced video gamer geeks, Lara Croft look-a-like, and YOU (as I feel lately that I qualify for the first category, despite the Asian faux-tan). Ah well. This thread brings to mind the last Event Movie that I was privileged to see, which was the opening of "Bubba Ho-Tep" at the Varsity in Seattle's U-District...with Bruce Campbell in attendance! I arrived fully expecting mummies and Elvii to abound, with maybe a couple of residual "Army of Darkness" zombie dudes just for kicks. Alas, I was sorely disappointed as Bruce Campbell was a no-show and the tiny tiny creaky seats of the Varsity groaned in protest as large Comic-Book-Shopkeeper types a la The Simpsons packed in around me. And not a single Elvis! However, the movie rocked, so it was all good. Keep up the good works, Cinecultist! Big hugs from thw West Coast!

PS Stephen Sommers is intriguing, but let's see how his work stands up without our beloved Mr. Fraser...
